A Sioux Falls man was sentenced to 33 months in federal prison for conducting a large-scale federal income tax fraud scheme, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Dakota.
Amon Eustache Aboua, 56, was sentenced Monday by U.S. District Judge Karen Schreier. He was also sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered to pay a $200 special assessment to the Federal Victims Fund.
Aboua was ordered to pay $540,267.43 in restitution for the income tax fraud. He also agreed to pay $232,600 in back child support.
