The Minnehaha County Commission Tuesday approved a $144.6 million budget for 2027, including increases for public safety and justice programs.

The 4-0 vote capped months of work on budget forecasting and revenue estimates.

“We’ve been talking and working on this for six months already. We are at the finish line,” County Budget and Finance Officer Susan Beaman told the commission.
