Sioux Falls School District enlists community to address student absenteeism
District partnered with Click Rain to develop advertising campaign
The first year of a program to reduce absenteeism in Sioux Falls schools showed signs of success during the 2023-2024 year, and school officials hope to build on that success with the launch of a marketing campaign unveiled Monday.
The “Show Up for their Future” campaign was developed by local creative firms Click Rain and Lemonly, which donated their time and interns to research school absenteeism and develop a marketing campaign.
“Obviously,” Assistant Superintendent James Nold said of the donated time, “that helped us out immensely.”
