South Dakota Republicans sent a pair of established political names to represent them in Washington in the U.S. Senate and House on Tuesday.

Republicans tapped current Sen. Mike Rounds to run for a third term in the general election and Attorney General Marty Jackley for a first-term House seat. Both will face Democratic challengers in the November election, and for Rounds, he also faces an independent in the race.

Rounds was beating West River businessman Justin McNeal 77 percent to 23 percent with more than 50 percent of the state’s precincts reporting, while Jackley was beating another West River businessman, James Biolata, 80 percent to 20 percent. Both McNeal and Biolata are military veterans.
