Dakota State University and LifeScape have launched a new research collaboration to create lightweight, discreet protective clothing for direct care workers who serve children with developmental disabilities. The innovation, now in testing, is designed to reduce injuries from biting, scratching or pinching that can happen during episodes of challenging behavior.
