An investigation into Gov. Kristi Noem’s use of state aircraft found no facts that would support a criminal case under South Dakota law, the lead prosecutor in the matter announced Tuesday.

Hughes County State’s Attorney Jessica LaMie also said there were no facts to support an allegation that the flight records of a state plane had been tampered with, and that the allegation was “frivolous.”

The investigation into Noem's use of the state plane was conducted by the Division of Criminal Investigation.
