MADISON — A petition is circulating in Lake County with hopes to bring a pipeline ordinance to a vote of the people, brought by efforts from a local group called Lake County Citizens for Agriculture, Recreation, Environment and Stewardship.

According to Aaron Johnson, a Madison area farmer helping lead the petition drive, this petition comes after years of asking the Lake County Commission to take up the discussion.

“We have gone before them repeatedly and asked them to have this discussion with the public, but they have refused to even talk to us about it,” Johnson said.
