A mental health and addiction crisis center that opened its doors in Sioux Falls two years ago is already facing a funding shortfall.

The Link, a community triage center in downtown Sioux Falls that provides around-the-clock access to services for individuals experiencing sobering, addiction management and behavioral health crisis needs, operates with a combination of funding from the city, Minnehaha County, Sanford Health and Avera Health.

Initially, the two health systems contributed equally to the initiative aimed at easing demand on emergency rooms and the county jail.
