A 4,000-student university in a South Dakota town with a number on the population estimate posted at the city limits is drawing national attention in the United States.

While that’s long been on the radar of U.S. Department of Defense officials, plans to expand Dakota State University’s presence in the ever-evolving cybersecurity battlefield brought top U.S. military leaders to Madison last week for a closer look at what’s underway there and in Sioux Falls.
