Brookings pondering future of Dacotah Bank Center
Public invited to open houses to hear ideas for how event center could be used in the future
Brookings officials are inviting the public to attend open houses next week to discuss future use options for the Dacotah Bank Center after the city gathered community feedback through a recent survey.
City officials will host two open house sessions March 18 at the facility, 824 32nd Ave., to share survey results and gather additional input from residents.
“The survey was the first step in learning the public’s thoughts about the Dacotah Bank Center and its future,” said Kristin Zimmerman, director of the city’s Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. “We want to continue the conversation in person and dive deeper at our open house sessions. Your feedback will help City leaders understand what matters most to the community as long-term decisions are considered.”
