VIEWPOINT | Republicans owe it to seniors to protect Medicare Advantage

Republicans in Congress should use their newfound authority to work on the issues that matter to one of their most important constituencies — the senior citizen voters who helped them recapture their majorities and put President Donald J. Trump back in office.
For me, and many others, that means working to protect Medicare Advantage plans.
That value lies in the quality of care under Medicare Advantage plans and the cost savings made possible by the capped out-of-pocket expenses. Seniors enjoy access to a wider range of health care services and supplemental benefits than what is available through standard Medicare.
