Young riders rise into the September sky, bare feet dangling above the Euro Bungy platform. The cords pull taut beside them. Far below, Thunder Road’s light poles look small against the blue evening, and the parking lot nearly disappears from view.
For a few seconds, they hang there.
Then gravity takes over.
The moment captures something that has kept Thunder Road in business for three decades: the distance between hesitation and delight can be measured in a single bounce. Kids arrive unsure about the harness, the height or the first sharp turn of a go-kart. Minutes later, they want another round.
