The University of Sioux Falls is denying a former student’s accusation that the school was to blame for her serious head injury.
Elise Rykhus was injured when she fell out of her loft bed in a university dormitory, according to a lawsuit filed against the school earlier this year. At the time of the accident on Aug. 24, 2023, Rykhus was a sophomore who played on the Cougars women’s soccer team, according to school records.
