A South Dakota lawmaker and staffer in U.S. Sen. Mike Rounds office is taking a job in the economic development world.

Sioux Metro Growth Alliance (SMGA) announced Wednesday that Tyler Tordsen will join the organization in October as its next president and CEO. Tordsen is a member of the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 14 in Sioux Falls, and comes to the post after eight years in Rounds office, serving as southeast regional director and director of tribal affairs.
