The parents of two boys molested at a Spearfish hotel restaurant have settled a lawsuit against the business that employed the pedophile who victimized their children.

But the damages that “John and Jane Doe” will receive from Frontier Lodging, which operated the Spearfish Holiday Inn Convention Center and the adjoining Lucky’s 13 Pub, will not be publicly released as a condition of the settlement that ends a two-year legal saga.

The parents, whose identities are not disclosed in their lawsuit, brought the case against the South Dakota hotelier in 2024.
