Lincoln County Sheriff personnel kept watch while Minnehaha County law enforcement officers attended Deputy Katherine Frank’s funeral on Monday.

Neighboring law enforcement agencies are stepping up so Minnehaha County communities have a police presence while Deputy Katherine Frank’s coworkers mourn her death Monday. 

 Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Moody County Sheriff’s Office and South Dakota Highway Patrol are providing mutual aid while Minnehaha County Sheriff Mike Milstead and his deputies attend funeral services of the 26-year-old who died last week from a fatal gunshot wound.
