Sioux Falls taxpayers subsidizing sobriety care for South Dakota, out-of-state residents

A sobering room at The Link.

A substance abuse recovery center that is heavily subsidized by the city of Sioux Falls and Minnehaha County sees nearly half of its patients from outside the Sioux Falls metro area.

That’s according to data presented by Jason Lemke, the project manager for The Link, which is located adjacent to City Hall in downtown Sioux Falls.
