School District announced Monday that Marcella LeBeau Elementary will be home to the Bears

Marcella LeBeau Elementary, Sioux Falls’ newest school, will open its doors in fall 2025, and now the school has a logo and a mascot to welcome its new students.

Principal Patrick Purdy announced Monday that the school in northwestern Sioux Falls will be home to the LeBeau Bears, the first time a Sioux Falls public school has adopted the bear as its mascot.
