Some childcare industry leaders say anything short of direct assistance for daycare providers and families won’t solve Sioux Falls’ ongoing shortage.

But the public isn’t yet convinced their tax dollars should support childcare subsidies, and other options like deregulation, resource pools, or tax incentives should be explored.
