Feds award grant after denying five previous requests for aid on 2025's flagship construction project
Sioux Falls taxpayers won’t be footing the bill to build what will be the largest intersection in the state all by themselves after all.
After years of unsuccessful attempts to secure federal aid for the $26 million rebuild of the Arrowhead Parkway-Veterans Parkway intersection on the eastern edge of the city, the Sioux Falls Public Works Department received word this week that it has been approved for a U.S. Department of Transportation grant at the 11th hour.
