One-third of Sioux Falls residents were down with “the grip” when another wave of the Russian Flu swept through the region 125 years ago this month.
Less serious than its initial spread a decade earlier, most cases hitting South Dakotans in the winter of 1900-1901 were reportedly mild, according to the Jan. 17, 1901, edition of The Madison Daily Leader.
