Lincoln County is a portrait of American dreams.

The southern half of the Sioux Falls metropolitan area is wealthier and younger than the rest of South Dakota.

The education level is higher, with nearly half the adult residents holding at least a bachelor’s degree.

The poverty level is 4 percent.

Lincoln County, including a bulbous chunk of the City of Sioux Falls and the suburbs of Harrisburg and Tea, is where property tax reformers point to as a problem area.
