Gov. Kristi Noem joined a chorus of GOP governors in calling for action in response to a series of “foreign objects” spotted over various parts of the country in recent days.
The governor’s office Thursday in a news release released a joint statement with 16 other governors saying the White House has not adequately communicated with them or the public about whether the objects pose a national security threat.
“The violation of American airspace by multiple foreign objects is unprecedented and threatens our national sovereignty along with the security of our states,” the statement read. “As Governors, we have sworn an oath to defend against ‘all enemies, foreign and domestic.’ Yet, President Biden has chosen not to fully communicate with the public about this critical issue impacting public safety.”
