NFL legend, Hall of Fame inductee stumps for office-seeking sister in Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls had its own version of “Monday Night Football” this week with a legendary NFL kicker’s visits to South Dakota that doubled as a political assist for his kid sister.

Rapid City native Adam Vinatieri received induction into the South Dakota Sports Hall of Fame this weekend, earning recognition for both collegiate and professional accolades as a football player. But before he returned to Indiana, the four-time Super Bowl champion did a little kicking for a lifelong companion — who just so happens to be running for Sioux Falls mayor.
