The Minnehaha County Commission has new blood for the first time in six years.

Three members of the Minnehaha County Commission took their oaths of office Thursday during a rescheduled regular meeting in downtown Sioux Falls.

Incumbent Commissioner Gerald Beninga and newcomers Jen Bleyenberg and Joe Kippley began four-year terms, with Beninga beginning his fourth term on the Commission.

Bleyenberg and Kippley replace outgoing Commissioners Cindy Heiberger and Jeff Barth, who both opted to not seek re-election.

Judge Sandra Hoglund Hanson administered the oath of office to Minnehaha County Commissioner Gerald Beninga.

All three commissioners taking the oath of office are Republicans.
