The Lincoln County Commission voted to pass its 2027 budget Tuesday after proposed budget cuts that would have trimmed employee raises, a Hudson road project, nonprofit funding, ambulance services and other spending failed.
Lincoln County Commission Chair Tiffani Landeen voted against an initial attempt to pass the 2027 budget Tuesday, then challenged Commissioners Joel Arends and Doug Putnam to propose changes they would support.
Their cuts failed 3-2. Landeen then joined Commissioners Herman Otten and Jim Schmidt to pass the budget over Arends and Putnam’s opposition.
