Law enforcement ties Sioux Falls’ drug bust drop to border security

Police in Sioux Falls saw fewer hard drugs on the street last year, something both local and state law enforcement leaders are connecting to border security.

The Sioux Falls Police Department this week released annual statistics for crime in South Dakota’s largest city, showing a sharp decline in law enforcement seizures of hard drugs like fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin.
