A second pair of South Dakota poultry farms have been hit by bird flu less than 30 days after an initial outbreak last month.

According to the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, a federal agency within the U.S. Department of Agriculture, highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) was detected in commercial poultry flocks in Edmunds and Hamlin counties.
