Kyle Arie Madetzke, 39, of Baltic, SD passed away unexpectedly on March 17th in an auto accident and was welcomed home in the arms of his heavenly father.
A Celebration of Life prayer service will be 7:oo PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids, SD. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
Visitation with family present will be from 5 -7 pm prior to the prayer service at 7.
Kyle was born August 5th, 1986 in Sioux Falls, SD to Donald and Emily (Robinson) Madetzke. Kyle grew up on a farm in Crooks where he took great interest in farming. He was known for his deep desire to be a provider, his work ethic, quick wit, stubbornness, and deep love for his family.
Kyle was a beloved husband of Jenilee, with whom he shared almost 19 years of marriage. A dedicated mechanic and Road Service Technician at New Tec where he was known for working until, he got the job done, no matter the time. Kyle cultivated friendships and a brotherhood with his colleagues; Lance, Allen, and Brad, for whom he had great admiration and appreciation. Kyle’s closest and dearest friends were first colleagues that became family.
Kyle enjoyed helping and assisting his friends and family with projects of all kinds. He enjoyed fixing anything with an engine, camping, fishing, playing golf, and motorcycle rides with his wife. Kyle enjoyed watching almost any type of sport. He loved going to hockey games but his overall favorite sport to watch was his daughter Trinity’s fast pitch softball games. Kyle was the loudest person cheering at every single game. Kyle enjoyed being a dad, teaching the kids to ride a bike, showing them how to work on vehicles, teaching them how to shovel, run a snowblower, mow the lawn, and enjoyed seeing movies as a family. Kyle spent the last 11 months of his life being a Grandpa to his Grandson Colt. He couldn’t wait for the day he could wrestle with Colt, buy him his first four-wheeler, take him fishing, camping, and to bring him to hockey games. Kyle loved being Colt’s Grandpa.
Kyle is survived by his loving wife Jenilee Madetzke; his children, Karma Call, Jude Madetzke, Trinity Madetzke, Collin Barnhart (son in law); grandson, Colt Barnhart; parents, Donald & Emily Madetzke; brother, Daron Madetzke (Mary); sisters, Elicia Madetzke & Bethany Madetzke; and many nieces and nephews. Kyle was preceded in death by his sister, Kendra Madetzke.
