Harold D. Iverson, 74, of Trent, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at his home under hospice care surrounded by his family. Private family services will be held.
Harold Dean Iverson was born on May 2, 1951 at Madison, SD, the son of Donald and Minnie Iverson. He worked on farms growing up and at Modular Structures in Pipestone where he met the love of his life, Colleen Halvorson. The couple married on April 7, 1973 and had eight children. He worked at the Flandreau and Pipestone furniture stores, Business Aviation and farmed for over 20+ years. He owned his own floor covering business “Iverson Floor Covering” for 25 years “Quality worth waiting for.” He then worked for UPS until his retirement.
He loved tractor pulls, going to auctions to find “treasures,” riding 4 wheeler and side by side in the hills on family vacations, farming, doing things with his hands, working on cars, tractors or making things in his garage. He loved mowing and bailing hay, participating in random tractor parades through the pastures at Carrie’s place. He enjoyed going to all the grand kids events and cheering them on. He was the happiest when he was with his family just hanging out and talking. He was the center of attention and loved having that from all of us. He was so very proud of his kids and grand kids and loved to brag about them. He loved to share stories from the past and riding his horse, Fritzie.
