Giving good vibes: Sioux Valley Optimist Club turns 50
Group focuses philanthropic efforts on helping children in need
Positive, uplifting and neighborly aren’t words you hear often these days. But that’s exactly what the Sioux Valley Optimist Club is all about.
Believing in better outcomes for kids is the philosophy that guides us, says Gabby Stewart, digital product manager at First Interstate Bank and also club president.
“Whatever the world has going on, kids are impacted by it, and they need to know that people are there for them.”
Showing up to support kids and to make an impact on kids’ lives is the club doctrine. “Think, talk and be our best selves,” says Stewart. “Hopefully, our example will rub off on others.”
