The executive director of the Democratic Party will announce his bid for governor Tuesday in downtown Sioux Falls.
Dan Ahlers, a former state legislator and longtime community leader, announced he is running for governor of South Dakota, saying the state needs bipartisan leadership focused on problem-solving rather than party politics.
Ahlers plans to formally announce his candidacy Tuesday at the Siouxland Downtown Library in Sioux Falls.
