Commissioners spar with Minnehaha County auditor over election fallout
Leah Anderson delivers report on how the election process played out for county last in state to report results
Prior to delivering a report on how the 2024 election went, Minnehaha County Auditor Leah Anderson predicted she was about to take some arrows from the County Commission.
She wasn’t wrong.
After delivering a report and recommendations on how to better streamline elections and ballot counting, Anderson, and her supporters, defended the actions of her office in the runup to the Nov. 5 election, as well as subsequent ballot counting. That process lasted into the following afternoon, with Minnehaha County not reporting results until long after every other county had.
