Authorities investigating reports of explosives at Lincoln County prison site

South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, Highway Patrol, Lincoln County Sheriff respond to call

UPDATE: The Attorney General’s Office issued an update at 5 p.m. that the scene had been cleared and that no explosives were found. The initial call was from a “concerned citizen” that there were agricultural explosives at the scene where they are several old farm buildings.

WORTHING — Investigators are on the site of the South Dakota Department of Correction’s planned men’s prison probing a report of explosives where demolition crews are working.
