Plans to finish restorations at the State Theatre in downtown Sioux Falls and turn it into event space took a big step forward this week.

The Mary Chilton Daughters of the American Revolution Foundation announced Thursday that it’s awarding a $50,000 grant to the Historic Sioux Falls State Theatre Restoration Project that will cover further remodeling of the 96-year old cinema hall.
