A Mitchell company that employed two people who were killed in a workplace accident has been sued by the wife of one of the deceased employees.

Jessica Dalzell is suing Heartland Tank Inc. as the special administrator to the estate of her late husband, Larry Joe Dalzell. The Murfreesboro, Tennessee resident filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Heartland Tank on Wednesday in federal district court in South Dakota.

Larry Dalzell was working for Heartland Tank on Sept. 7, 2024 in rural Volga, South Dakota. He had been hired to do repair work on a Harvestore silage silo.
