Sioux Falls leads race for new corrections operations
More than half of the proposed sites for a new South Dakota prison to be reviewed this week by Gov. Larry Rhoden’s Project Prison Reset Task Force are located in the Sioux Falls area.
The 22-member panel will review 10 proposals for potential locations at its second meeting Tuesday in Springfield. Sites under consideration also include locations in Grant County, Aberdeen, Huron and Mitchell.
