Watertown's Bramble Park Zoo revamps master plan in climb to regain accreditation

The Watertown Parks and Recreation Board reviewed Bramble Park Zoo’s recently published master plan, which prioritizes the zoo’s reaccreditation while also retaining positive visitor experiences that a small-town zoo can provide.

Parks and Rec Director Dusty Rodiek said there was nothing that’s in the current master plan that’s been carried over to the new three-phase plan.

The zoo lost its coveted accreditation in 2024 from the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. The organization cited outdated facilities in its decision, as well as animal enrichment deficiencies.
