Six months ago, I had no clue.
Today, I am running for the United States Senate as an independent for one reason above all others. I will devote my service in the Senate, really the remainder of my whole life, to stopping the unchecked, unrestrained and uncontrolled development of artificial intelligence (AI).
FULL STOP. That is what is needed!
A full stop until the control of AI by the people and for the people is assured. I know that sounds dramatic. It is intended to be.
Why?
Because AI developed and controlled by all of us will cure cancer. But the AI we Americans are being stampeded toward by a tiny handful of billionaires and trillionaires, and their unlimited political contributions, poses a catastrophic threat to every one of us on earth.
