POINT | South Dakota can drive America's national security into AI era
By Sen. Casey Crabtree
South Dakota is at a crossroads. With the right leadership, we can build a stronger future, or watch opportunity pass us by. Today, we have an opportunity to create powerful economic growth, support America’s effort to win the global race for artificial intelligence (AI) versus China, and put more money in the pockets of South Dakotans.
President Donald Trump underscored this urgency when he said, “America’s destiny is to dominate every industry and be the first in every technology.” His AI plan speeds up federal approvals for data centers, promotes cooperation with allies, removes federal barriers to innovation and ensures taxpayer dollars support reliable American-built systems.
