I met Larry Rhoden over 25 years ago when he was elected to the South Dakota House of Representatives, where I served as majority leader at the time. From the beginning, I recognized Larry’s leadership abilities and his honest desire to serve the people of South Dakota.
In his second term as a state representative, Larry was elected assistant majority leader and joined me in leading the House Republican Caucus. We brought different but complementary leadership styles to these roles, and together we worked to unify Republicans and move South Dakota forward.
