Good columnists make us think. They offer insight and clarity. Unfortunately, Bo Hutchins is too often light on insight, and long on snark and misinformation.

His last column is a clear example. Obesity is America’s number one health problem and too many of our safety net programs divert precious dollars away from investments that really work. My “Real Food, Real Freedom” initiative addresses both problems. But instead of offering fact-based rebuttals, Bo shows why it’s hard to get things done in politics. There are always anonymous stone-throwers willing to unfairly attack every proposal.
