Sioux Falls leaders say they’re frustrated by the rollout of nearly $8 million in state-backed opioid initiatives, renewing concerns about long-term support for a key addiction response hub.

Months after South Dakota’s top law enforcement official and municipal leaders in its largest cities pressed for a faster, more aggressive deployment of opioid settlement dollars, the first major round of grants is now prompting frustration in Sioux Falls.
