The city of Vermillion has settled a lawsuit brought by a former female police officer who alleged she was subjected to sexual harassment by fellow officers.

The city agreed to pay Norma Probst $175,000 to resolve the suit. In a statement to The Dakota Scout, Chief Crystal Brady said the settlement closed the matter and did not constitute an admission of fault by either party.
