Venhuizen resigns as South Dakota Regent, adding to growing list of board vacancies
Gov. Kristi Noem will be looking to fill another vacancy on a state board following the resignation of a South Dakota regent this week.
The South Dakota Board of Regents (BOR) announced Tuesday that Tony Venhuizen has stepped down from his position as a regent ahead of the 2023 South Dakota Legislative session.
Venhuizen, of Sioux Falls, won a seat in the state House of Representatives in an uncontested general election race and will represent District 13 through 2024.
