University of South Dakota President Sheila Gestring

University of South Dakota President Sheila Gestring will retire at the end of the academic school year, the South Dakota Board of Regents announced Wednesday.

Gestring, who has been president since 2018, was USD’s 18th president. Previously she had served as the school’s chief financial officer and she was a USD graduate. She joined the school’s finance department in 2006.
