USD professor asks judge to block firing over Charlie Kirk post
Phillip Michael Hook called the conservative activist a 'Nazi' after assassination
A University of South Dakota professor who was placed on administrative leave after posting a message on Facebook following the assassination of Charlie Kirk has filed suit against the state in a bid to stay employed.
Phillip Michael Hook has also filed a temporary restraining order asking a judge to prevent him from being fired. He teaches art at the university.
Hook called Kirk, who was shot and killed Sept. 10, a “hate spreading Nazi” whose family would benefit by Kirk’s death.
