Animal Control, South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks prepare public for sound blasts to clear area of bird hazards
Southbound Canada geese are competing for Sioux Falls airport flight paths.
So animal control officers are bringing out the cannons — sound cannons, that is.
Sioux Falls Animal Control and the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks are teaming up to clear the Joe Foss Field and Sioux Falls Regional Airport area of the migratory fowl that create aircraft hazards during their annual journey south.
