A Vermillion power lineman who faced termination for living four minutes too far from work will keep his job and home after the city abandoned months of disciplinary proceedings that threatened his family.
Brandon Steeneck, a military veteran and 10-year employee of Vermillion Light & Power, will continue serving the city while living at his rural Alcester farmstead 19 minutes away, four minutes beyond the city’s 15-minute residency requirement for emergency personnel.
