A seasoned Sioux Falls lawyer who served as South Dakota’s U.S. attorney in the first Trump administration is headed back to the post in the president’s second administration.

The Trump White House announced Monday night that it was renominating Ron Parsons to serve as the state’s top federal law enforcement officer in South Dakota. The nomination is subject to Senate confirmation.

Parsons was among a tranche of nominations sent to the Senate for confirmation. He faces a confirmation hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee followed by a full floor vote.
